Job Description

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is seeking an individual to join our Billing team in New York. The successful candidate will receive a robust internal training program which exposes them to the various OAM functions and team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Issue invoices sent to customers through various channels
  • Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or inconsistencies
  • Collect all information needed to calculate fees
  • Check the data input into Fee billing system to ensure accuracy of final bill
  • Receive payments through various methods
  • Send reminders for payments and reach out to brokers and custodians where necessary
  • Provide management invoice and fee billing status reports
  • Liaise with Portfolio Managers, brokers, and custodians for fee related inquiries
  • Process manager payments (via wire) for managed account programs

Job Requirements/Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Economics, Finance or Accounting
  • Proficient in MS Excel, with an ability to learn new systems
  • Capable of multitasking and has excellent follow-up skills
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and interpersonal
  • 1-3 years of relevant Billing experience working with managed accounts; preferred
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, conscientious, professional demeanor, and reliable
  • Demonstrates a proactive, flexible problem-solving attitude
  • Able to work with staff that are onsite

Compensation

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
