Billing Specialist

Dentons Cohen & Grigsby has an immediate opening for an experienced billing specialist in our Pittsburgh office. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of three (3) years of law firm billing experience. Qualified candidates should 1.) have experience submitting electronic billing utilizing eBilling Hub; 2.) effectively communicate with lawyers whose clients utilize e-billing; 3) understand e-billing applications currently in use; and 4.) develop new tools to be proactive, internally and externally, in the e-billing industry. In addition, the billing specialist must review and verify the accuracy of billings and provide supporting documents as required. The billing specialist must also be able to research and respond to inquiries regarding client matters and billing issues with the utmost accuracy, speed, and proficiency to facilitate the process of client e-billing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly e-invoices to e-bill clients timely and accurately.
• Handle rejected e-files and fix e-bills to meet client specifications.
• Enter matter rates and codes (bill templates, task and activities and any matter specific information) for e-billing matters.
• Maintain lists of all e-billing clients and specific requirements.
• Understand all client guidelines, internal protocols and the firm's guidelines for the e- billing matters.
• Assist with moth end billing overflow and year-end closing and reporting as required.
• Assist with special projects requests as necessary.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is desired but not required.
• Three (3) or more years of law firm billing experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010 Word and Excel and experience with legal billing software, preferably Elite and eBilling Hub.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to proof financial documents.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse with a diverse group, including attorneys and staff.
