Senior Property Accountant

Position Summary: As the Senior Accountant, you play a crucial role in our financial success. Reporting to the Accounting Manager and closely collaborating with the Controller, you will oversee the daily transactional flow, reconcile investor reporting, and work seamlessly with various teams, including Property Management, Asset Management, and Project Development.


Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily transactional flow, including Cash, and supporting Accounts Payable.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations using systems such as Yardi & QuickBooks.
  • Post and process journal entries daily, ensuring accurate recording of all business transactions.
  • Support treasury cash management activities and review expenses, payroll records, etc.
  • Compile Financial and Operational reporting for Investor Reporting.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
  • Contribute to the gathering of financial information for company and investor tax returns.
  • Provide training and supervision for Accountants and Accounting Associates.
  • Assist with various accounting projects as assigned by the Controller, CFO, or other Leadership Team members.


Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting, highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA is a plus).
  • Strategic thinking with proactive problem-solving skills.
  • High level of initiative, strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Solid background in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and a base level understanding of Yardi required.
