As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be part of BlackCloak’s internal technology team supporting corporate security, information technology operations, and compliance. 

This is a critical role that is both hands-on and strategic, influencing and driving success for BlackCloak and its clients by designing, deploying, and supporting technology solutions for all areas of the business.

What you will do

• Design and iterate upon the next generation of BlackCloak’s secure, privacy-focused architecture strategy for both corporate and SaaS platform infrastructure
• Partner with business executives and key stakeholders to identify security risks and vulnerabilities, propose solutions, and drive improvements
• Review existing security architecture, identify design gaps, and recommend security enhancements
• Deploy security solutions for modern cloud IaaS/SaaS/PaaS such as AWS, GCP, Salesforce, Elastic.co, Google Workspace and other cloud infrastructure
• Own and lead security references, architectures, roadmaps and technical evaluations
• Specification and publication of standards around APIs, secure operations, data security, and software security
• Architect and develop IoC (Infrastructure as Code) methodologies for cloud infrastructure
• Manage and deploy identity access management and device authorization systems
• Stay abreast of current and emerging security threats and design security architecture to mitigate them via design specifications and threat modeling exercises
• Ensure alignment between security architecture frameworks and standards and overall business strategy.

What you need to be successful

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience working with security technologies and standards
• 5+ years experience performing research, security system design experimentation, and benchmarking
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (terraform, cloudformation, etc.)
• Heavy experience with modern cloud infrastructure such as GCP and AWS.
• Background in modern IAM authentication and authorization solutions
• Experience with endpoint management and security solutions
• Extensive experience of providing architectural direction to project development teams
• Track record of designing architectural reference material
• Excellent communication, presentation and reasoning skills
• Demonstrated technical expertise in existing security and IT systems, and an ability to keep pace with changing security and IT technologies
• A team-focused mentality with the proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

Nice to have

• 5 years of related IT Security Architecture and solution architecture experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience using Architecture Methodology (TOGAF, Archimate)
• An understanding of the impact of emerging business and end-user technologies on information security requirements and architecture
• Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one
• An understanding and experience mapping security framework controls to technical solutions, e.g. NIST 800-53, CSF 2.0, SOC 2 TSC

$110,000 - $140,000 a year

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
