Art Director

Location: Hybrid, Los Angeles 

Your impact at Blip: 

Blip [nicotine replacement therapy] is here for the next generation of quitters with a bold online and in store presence, reinvigorating a category in need of change. Blip is available DTC and at CVS stores.

Reporting to the President and working closely with Co-Founders and team, the Art Director is responsible for developing and executing compelling visual content across all initiatives and channels while staying true to the overall Blip brand identity. The Art Director will bring exceptional design skills, process management skills, and a keen understanding of popular culture to elevate our brand image.

We will count on you to: 

  • Partner cross-functionally to ideate and then create assets for a variety of digital needs: campaigns, launches, social, website, ads, decks, OOH, packaging, email, SMS, etc. 
  • Create and maintain a consistent visual language and library for the brand across all sales channels and marketing touchpoints.
  • Ensure brand consistency throughout all projects, while also consistently pushing for innovative, bold visuals. 
  • Work closely with copy to ensure visuals are harmonious with the narrative.
  • Collaborate with growth marketing agency partner to design paid social ads that drive engagement and sales. 
  • Assist Co-Founders and producer with photoshoot ideation, preparation, and post-production.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment ensuring deliverables are achieved on time while maintaining a high standard.
  • Execute digital and print production as needed, preparing final files based on supplied specifications.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Who we are looking for:

  • A BFA in graphic design or commensurate additional experience.
  • 6-8 years of experience as an Art Director / graphic designer. 
  • Exceptional design sensibility - art direction, typography, layout and strong understanding of creating beautiful visuals that meet business objectives.
  • Knowledge of digital best practices across a range of assets (email, paid ads, Instagram, etc.)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). 
  • Experience working in Figma required.
  • 3D rendering software experience is a huge plus!
  • Immense attention to detail.
  • Not afraid to break traditional design rules.
  • A consistent and open communicator adept at giving, receiving, and incorporating feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work within deadlines. 
  • Proactive, always learning and staying current with new techniques and technologies to create new ways to tell our brand story. 
  • Experience in packaging design is a plus!

Salary + Benefits:

  • Compensation includes a $130,000-$150,000 base depending on level of experience, and includes bonus eligibility and company stock options.
