Staff Accountant

Bloomerang is dedicated to providing nonprofits with tools and resources while fostering a mission-driven culture for employees. They are looking for a Staff Accountant to manage financial reporting and support the finance department.

GAAP principles
Attention to detail

Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and schedules for month-end close
Assist in preparation of Federal and State tax returns
Work with external auditors for annual audits
File state sales tax returns and 1099s
Research tax laws
Accounts payable processing
Coordinate collections issues with Billing department
Review and book payroll with Payroll department
Integrate acquisitions into current systems
Document policies and procedures for finance department

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
