Blue Energy’s mission is to unlock energy abundance, energy affordability, energy security, and turn-key decarbonization by developing the fastest path to deploying new nuclear MWs at scale. We are utilizing shipyard manufacturing supply chains and techniques from offshore oil and wind to reduce the cost of nuclear plants by over 60% and the manufacturing timeline to 24 months. Blue Energy is a platform technology that makes use of the latest NRC-approved reactors and is in negotiations with existing nuclear and industrial sites, enabling a much faster regulatory pathway to deploy our first unit. With our innovative centralized shipyard manufacturing approach, we can put nuclear power on a cost-reduction learning curve akin to wind, solar, and lithium-ion batteries.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Recruiting Coordinator and Sourcer to support our hiring efforts on a part-time or contract basis with the potential to convert to full time. This role will play a critical function in managing our applicant tracking system (Ashby), scheduling interviews, and sourcing candidates for key roles across the company. This individual will have the opportunity to take on additional tasks and contribute to building our recruiting function as we scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruiting Operations:

    • Manage and maintain our applicant tracking system (Ashby), ensuring accurate candidate records and streamlined workflows.

    • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels.

    • Ensure a seamless candidate experience by providing timely updates and clear communication throughout the hiring process.

  2. Candidate Sourcing:

    • Proactively source and engage top talent for critical roles through various channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, and direct outreach.

    • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.

    • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and develop sourcing strategies.

  3. Process Improvement & Recruiting Support:

    • Identify opportunities to enhance our recruiting processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

    • Assist in crafting job descriptions, interview guides, and recruitment marketing materials.

    • Support employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.

    • Take on additional responsibilities in building our recruiting function as needed and based on interest.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, talent sourcing, or a related role.

    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (experience with Ashby is a plus).

    • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments such as startups or tech companies is a strong plus.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple scheduling needs and priorities efficiently.

    • Strong sourcing skills and ability to engage passive candidates effectively.

    • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

    • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and a passion for building scalable processes.
