Internship: User Experience Designer We are a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth. Interns work directly with our experienced teams on projects in support of our business units. Internships are full time, 15 weeks. UX at Blue sits at the intersection of Software, Aerospace and Manufacturing Technology, as our team is responsible to develop technology solutions to manufacture and operate rockets and Space infrastructure. As an intern, you will support our UX designers to help research, define and visualize problems to solve, as well as working with business partners to guide discovery and design solutions. Required Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in User Experience Design, HCD (Human Centered Design and Engineering), HCI (Human Computer Interaction) or related fields. Must have at least one semester of school remaining after the internship. Students who have acquired a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application. Available to work full time for a minimum of 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework. Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills. Passion for space. Desired: If you have any of the following experience, be sure to include it on your resume. Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities. Research, Interaction Design, Prototyping.
