The selected candidate will lead the end-to-end software development, build the next-generation software products, create, and deploy the innovative software applications in real word. In this position, you will collaborate with other world-class scientists, researchers, and engineers innovating mainly on Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) applications, and beyond (such as Autonomy, Production Analytics, Airspace operational efficiency).As part of Boeing Research & Technology's (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability, our software engineers use their expertise to dream up next-generation software capabilities for amazing aerospace, satellite, and autonomy platforms. By building a career at Boeing, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills, create relationships around the world and help shape the future of aerospace.This position may require up to 10% travel.Position Responsibilities:• Leading the full software development lifecycle as a full stack software engineer, including Problem analysis and planning, Software Architecture & Design, Software Development, Software testing, and Software deployment with operational excellence.• Working efficiently as part of the agile team with experience of Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, etc.).• Collaborating with stakeholders, engineering teams, and peers closely for the software delivery on time with safety and quality.• Building and growing the software capabilities across organizations and teams.• Attending and presenting technical work in meetings with great verbal and written communications.• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends• Mentoring and guiding junior software engineers• Works under minimal direction.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):• Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in computer science, data science, mathematics, engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, or physics.• 5+ years of experience designing and developing software using any of the listed programming languages - Python, C/C++, or Java• 5+ years of experience working with data in relational databases and/ or cloud environmentsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):• Experience with new product development as part of the agile team• Experience with Python, relational database, and AI/ML techniques.• Experience with modern microservices architecture, implementation, and operations.• Experience with cloud computing and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)• MS or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering related field.Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
