Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.About The RoleBoston Scientific’s Associate Product Manager (APM) is an entry level position into product management or other commercial roles in the Endoscopy organization. The primary focus is to gain functional capabilities, prove sound decision-making skills, and to demonstrate leadership ability in a team environment. The APM will be aligned to a high performing franchise and will have the opportunity to learn from several current product managers to support key initiatives for the business. These activities may include global market development efforts, voice of customer engagements, product launch execution, lead forecasting and demand planning, and much more. This role will interface with sales representatives, R&D and physicians to determine use case and user needs through voice of customer (VOC) for marketing management aspects of product creation and improvement.Roles And ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Product Manager will be involved in many aspects of building and refining a product strategy for the aligned franchise. Specific activities include the following:• Learn and contribute to the development and execution of the franchise integrated market business plan. Assist in strategic planning, market segmentation, product positioning, and messaging.• Learn key franchise technologies and support new product design and development within the internal Technology &/or Product Development Process.• Learn the internal global downstream marketing network and provide marketing support to field sales and other strategic channels.• Learn the clinical environment influencing the franchise, including the clinical procedure, the key decision makers, and business barriers & motivations.• Establish and develop key internal and external relationships, including cross functional teams, other franchises, sales, and key opinion leaders.• Work collaboratively with cross functional representation to be the voice of marketing to drive key initiatives for the business.• Learn and assist with the franchise financial/sales/supply chain forecasting processes, as well as other operationally related issues.• Learn the internal marketing & cross-functional systems and processes required to support the franchise.• Manage supply chain communication with US and Global stakeholders ensure sure accurate information is shared to external customers.• Work seamlessly with Product Management for guidance, support, and development• Support product commercialization activities across multiple internal and external groups such as engineering, packaging and labeling, regulatory, clinical, quality, sales, etc.Required Qualifications• 1-2 years’ minimum experience in previous marketing/commercial role• BA/BS in business discipline or equivalent experience required• Self-starter, team player, proven leadership qualities• Able to build and maintain strong relationships and foster cross functional collaboration• Travel – up to 20% required (mostly US; some global may be required)Preferred Qualifications• Background in medical devices• Experience leading marketing initiativesRequisition ID: 588455As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most – united by a deep caring for human life.
