Job Title: Machinery Vibration Analyst
Summary:
The Machinery Vibration Analyst is a critical customer-facing role responsible for providing expert diagnostics and technical support for condition monitoring and machine protection systems. This involves in-depth analysis of rotating equipment, developing actionable warning levels, delivering comprehensive user training, and resolving diverse customer inquiries. Collaboration with internal teams and building strong client relationships are vital aspects of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of rotating equipment using hardware and software, identifying potential issues and developing data-driven warning levels.
Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training to customers on software, ensuring they can effectively utilize the system's capabilities. Deliver prompt and expert support for hardware, software, and mechanical inquiries.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent service and addressing concerns effectively. Collaborate with sales and project management teams to identify client needs and develop tailored support solutions.
Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and support activities. Produce clear and concise technical reports with actionable recommendations for corrective measures. Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients, ensuring transparency and understanding.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in vibration analysis and predictive maintenance techniques. Actively seek opportunities to enhance your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Certifications: ISO Category II Vibration Analyst (or equivalent) with 3+ years of experience in vibration data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial predictive maintenance or vibration analysis. Experience with reciprocating equipment or multi-shaft gearboxes is preferred.
Skills:
Proven ability to generate technical reports with actionable recommendations.
Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.
Strong track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer service excellence.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with group presentations.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
Ability to obtain a US passport and TWIC card.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.
Participation in company-wide random drug screening program.
