Project Engineer

Overview

The Project Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful design, implementation, and delivery of client compressor system projects. This involves a deep understanding of operational parameters, adherence to engineering codes and standards, and effective collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and Functionality: Ensure the plant's design and operation align with client specifications.

• Project Management: Efficiently manage projects to meet client requirements and contractual obligations.

• Technical Specifications: Prepare detailed specifications for accessories, evaluate supplier offers, and maintain technical communication with suppliers.

• Optimization: Consistently work to standardize processes and optimize engineering hours and costs.

• Sales Support: Provide technical assistance to Sales Engineers during complex offer phases.

• Plant Design Guidance: Offer technical direction to plant designers.

• Documentation: Maintain project documents and electronic files, including equipment data sheets.

• Technical Support: Assist colleagues in Engineering, Sales, and CSS with technical expertise.

• Inspections and Testing: Coordinate inspections, testing, and shipping activities, acting as a liaison between project management, suppliers, and packagers.

• Quality Assurance: Report any deficiencies or non-compliance related to projects.

• Safety: Adhere to and promote safety requirements as outlined in the company's safety manual.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.

• Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience with rotating equipment, reciprocating compressors, or related processes.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ANSI and ASME codes.

• Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, both technical and creative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. "Can do" attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Additional Requirements: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Primarily an office/production setting with moderate noise levels.

• Requires repetitive hand and finger movements, as well as fine motor skills.

• May involve moderate travel (up to 10%).

• Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime.
