At Teneo, the Senior Associate Consultant plays an essential role in the day-to-day running of the clients account. You are responsible for implementation of PR campaigns and achieving results for clients as agreed with your manager. Our clients engage us for our advice, our creativity, our media contacts and our insights, so we're excited to see what you'll bring to the table in this regard.

Client relations
As a senior account executive, you need to demonstrate the following when dealing with clients:
- Show you understand your client's business and industries. Get to know their industry and the challenges and opportunities for their business
- Demonstrate impeccable attention to detail in all dealings with your clients. Proof read all documents before showing to the client, ensure immaculate layout and presentation - even when the work has been originated by someone else
- Be polite and professional in all dealings with your clients
- Build up a trusted relationship with your client – get to know them as a person and build up a rapport with them
- Be responsible for preparing accurate and well-presented agendas, progress reports and contact reports (within 24 hours)
- Understand the principles of media evaluation and the importance of return on investment for clients
Media & influencer relations
Media relations is at the heart of everything we do. As a senior account executive this will be a huge part of your job. A successful senior account executive will be able to do the following:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the media landscape in Ireland and know which publications and writers are relevant for your clients
- Be deeply entrenched in the world of Irish social influencers and have an active interest in culture and news
- Build up relationships with media both at a national and regional level
- Maintain up to date and accurate media lists for Teneo
- Attend regular media facing / networking events to build up your own profile and media contacts
- Understand deadlines, editorial agendas and general etiquette of handling the media
- Have proven success at written and verbal 'selling-in', including to the national media
- Demonstrate proficiency in writing of PR materials such as press releases, promotions and competitions, fact sheets and photo captions
- Maintain up to date features lists for your clients and keep team abreast of developments
- Develop experience of other public relations vehicles beyond media relations - including competitions, promotions and photography
- Demonstrate an 'eye' for good visual material - photography, illustrations and print work
Financial responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding of client budgets and how they relate to your Division's business plan
- Fill in time sheets on a daily basis
- Understand the principle of charging for your time and managing your time efficiently in best interests of the client and agency
General responsibilities
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Excellent time & priority management
- Proactive approach to your work - don't wait to be asked
- Keep your Account Director and Talent manager informed of what you're doing
- Build good relationships with suppliers and be confident and thorough when briefing them
- Maintain a professional appearance, especially for meetings
- Keep abreast of PR industry issues (read all industry newsletters and magazines) – ensure you share latest news and trends with the team
- Ensure your work is ready well within deadlines set for you
- Be enthusiastic and motivated, with proven initiative and commitment to high quality standards
- Be a reliable and trustworthy ambassador for Teneo, both internally and externally
- Assist with the training of interns
