Brand Communications Manager Job Description

Reports to: Director, Market Brand Content & Style

Job Title: Brand Communications Manager

Project Alignment: Market Brand

Pay Rate: $35-$38 per hour (or annual equivalent)

Job Summary:

As the Brand Communications Manager, you will collaborate closely with corporate, division, and facility Marketing & Corporate Affairs teams to develop and manage content that supports the HCA Healthcare and market brand business objectives and Brand initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop consistent, scalable, and strategic content frameworks in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as corporate Digital, Creative Services, Internal Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, and Brand Strategy teams.

Support change management frameworks for rebrands and operational plans for deploying campaigns and internal activations.

Draft core messages for all brand and marketing initiatives, as well as promotional messages for our HCA Healthcare brands and services.

Oversee content development and collaboration among subject matter experts and communication/content specialists, ensuring accurate and well-edited materials.

Serve as an HCA Healthcare brand ambassador, sharing the broader HCA Healthcare story and aligning communication tactics with our brand guidelines.

Duties:

  • Write, edit, and project-manage content that supports market brand implementation, marketing strategy, and brand strategy and operations.
  • Collaborate with the corporate communications and brand teams to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and enterprise storytelling.
  • Create and/or consult on operational communications materials for all HCA Healthcare audiences, working closely with the Director, Market Brand Content & Style.
  • Develop executive messages/talking points for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with other departments and partners to ensure content and messages support the HCA Healthcare brand story and adhere to the organization's writing style, voice, and tone.
  • Provide copywriting for marketing materials and content for brand trainings.
  • Proofread materials for consistency, adherence to style/messaging guides, and factual accuracy; manage the review process with subject matter experts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in communications, change management, brand strategy and development, or similar roles. Healthcare and/or operational-focused communications experience is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior leadership and sustain strong collegial relationships.
  • Strong understanding of how communications tactics contribute to a broader brand and organizational strategy.
  • Excellent writing skills and editorial ability, with the ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and media.
  • Skilled in distilling complex operational subject material into easy-to-understand, digestible content.
  • Self-motivated and deadline-oriented.

Pay Rate:

  • $35-$38 per hour (or annual equivalent).
