Overview

Glossier is a people-first beauty company on a mission to give everyone a voice through beauty. We create physical, digital, and offline experiences inspired by our community that foster connection, inspire a sense of belonging, and invite people to participate in Glossier. Glossier is looking to expand its roster of creatives that dream up surprising and delightful experiences, both online and IRL. Our in-house creative team is responsible for a wide range of work, ultimately taking an inclusive, discerning, and most importantly personalized approach to the brand voice, art direction, packaging and physical experiences.

We are seeking an organized NYC based designer who will focus primarily on expressions of the brand identity, such as digital and out-of-home campaigns, physical merch (+ stickers), email and social media assets. Candidates express a curiosity about stretching a brand language, have an obsessive attention to design detail, and a nuanced understanding of today's internet culture and trends. You will become an expert in Glossier design standards and a go-to for all things on-brand.

Six Month Expectations

  • Design and export digital assets for paid, organic social, and email channels
  • Partner cross functionally with project managers, copywriting partners and other design contributors to ensure delivery of assets are on-brief and timely
  • Deeply understand Glossier's existing brand standards in a way that is consistent with our other brand touchpoints, moodboards, and design references, to then implement them in projects
  • Confidently present and explain design decisions and concepts to the creative team and cross functional partners
  • Brainstorm fresh ideas for digital marketing, packaging and experiences
  • Contribute to visual research for ongoing brand evolution

Twelve+ Month Expectations

  • Independently own design approach over digital brand design (paid, email, and social channels)
  • Build and release print mechanicals
  • Maintain and enforce design standards (typography, materials, imagery, color palettes)
  • Help evolve visual systems as Glossier continues to grow into new markets, partnerships, legal requirements, etc.
  • Ongoing creative exploration and development

Qualifications

  • BA/BFA in Graphic Design or similar, with 2-5 years related experience
  • Proficiency in Figma, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects
  • Passion for detail-oriented work, typography and good design
  • You know your JPEGs, PNGs and GIFs
  • A design portfolio that demonstrates the ability to work within existing design languages as well as establish new ones
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, prioritize own workload, and work independently
  • A love for beauty, art and the internet

In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum compensation range for this position:

  • The estimated annual pay range for this role is $64,000 - $83,000.
  • There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
