¨ Prep and cook food items for the busy hotel buffet breakfast service including eggs, sausages/bacon, waffles, pancakes etc.
¨ Ensure that pastries and baked goods are baked, ready and continuously supplied for the breakfast buffet. Ensure that all other buffet items are prepped for the morning and for the next morning’s service.
¨ Ensure that the quality, quantity and presentation of buffet items meets hotel standards for freshness, appearance and consistency.
¨ Ensure that the work area is kept clean; Clean up work stations at the end of every shift.
¨ Work closely with the front-of-house team to meet special guest requests; buffet set-up and tear-down if required.
¨ Understand and respect kitchen health and safety regulations and standards and maintain a safe working environment.
¨ Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
QUALIFICATIONS:
¨ Previous cooking experience preferred
¨ Able and willing to work early mornings
¨ A reliable and dynamic individual with good organizational skills
¨ Good teamwork skills
¨ Excellent cleanliness standards
¨ A willingness to adhere to safe work practices
