Position Summary Manufacturing Technician at Bridgestone have a passion for innovation that drives our company forward. Responsibilities • The Manufacturing Student Intern position at the LaVergne plant will work in a multi-craft environment which requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic (PLC) disciplines in a manufacturing environment. The position will be assigned tasks that could involve a wide variety of maintenance activities including repairs, preventative activities, and predictive activities. The position will also be assigned a special project that will exist for the entire length of their program. The position will be for a one-year time frame (12 months) at the set rate of $25 per hour. The intern must complete at least 20 hours per week, with the potential of additional hours available depending on plant needs; however, usually not in excess of 40 hours. Upon successful completion of the 1-year (12 month) Bridgestone LaVergne Internship, as well as the Nashville State Electrical Engineering Technology program, the candidate will be eligible to take the Bridgestone LaVergne Maintenance Engineering Technician (MET) assessment for the potential opportunity of a full-time position. Previous experience will be considered in conjunction with the internship and this offer is not guaranteed. Minimum Requirements: • Nashville State student entering the 2nd year of an Electrical Engineering Technology program. Successful completion of the prescreening and interviewing process. Preferred Experience: • Previous experience of industrial maintenance in a multi-craft environment, preferably a position that required a working knowledge of mechanical, electronic (PLC), and electrical disciplines, and / or Equivalent military experience Relevant experience and education required
