About the Role:

Brightline is a premier national youth mental health provider and brings virtual and in-person care to families, when and where they need it. We are seeking an exceptional Clinic Director who will be our inaugural leader to build and lead our inaugural location in the greater New York City market.

Why You Are Excited About Us:

You’re a clinician-operator who can think and operate empathetically, strategically, tactically, and analytically and know how to build a clinic and team from scratch, leveraging existing best practices and guidance from our centralized Support Services.

  • Ownership and accountability around our Big-4

    • You have experience with being a General Manager or “Program CEO” and are passionate about owning, driving, and raising the bar on 1) clinical (e.g., standards of clinical practice, member outcomes, quality measures) 2) operational (e.g., P&L responsibility, utilization and capacity), 3) people (e.g., retention and employee satisfaction), and 4) growth (e.g., leads and conversion) results, especially in a brand new location and market, and are able to effectively develop day-to-day levers, report out, and proactively identify opportunities around key results

    • In the clinic’s early stages (3-6 months, to be determined), you will spend a proportion of your time client-facing, and the rest of your time in a leadership and management capacity

  • Relationship-Building:

    • Able to work cross-functionally to build and nourish relationships as a trusted and respected thought partner across external and internal stakeholders (including but not limited to executive leadership team, clinical and quality, finance, legal and compliance)

    • You have built teams from scratch or early beginnings and have demonstrated strong retention and employee satisfaction through leading with high accountability around results, being a mission-driven culture champion, and operating with a growth mindset

    • You enjoy being an influential part of the local community and partnering with our Marketing and Outreach team to build and nourish relationships with key stakeholders such as hospitals, pediatrician groups, payors, and legislators

  • Process Excellence and Organization

    • You are able to adapt, develop, and/or finetune new or existing processes and be able to effectively communicate, train, and launch across every staff member at your clinic while ensuring fidelity and adherence

    • You’re curious and not afraid to uncover opportunities and needs that would elevate member and staff experience and our Big-4

  • Transforming building blocks into a finished product

    • You are not afraid to embrace “messiness” - this is a brand new location, market, and strategy for the organization - and want to put your fingerprints on its infant stages by being scrappy

    • You are passionate about going from zero to one: in partnership with our centralized Support resources, you’ll have the opportunity to set up the physical location, build your own team of clinicians and administrative staff, and grow the clinic to maturity

Why We Are Excited About You:

  • PhD or PsyD required; Master’s level clinician who’s independently licensed will be considered with strong background

  • You have extensive and strong expertise in child and adolescent behavioral health interventions, including

    • Expertise in evidence-based interventions including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, parent management training, dialectical behavior therapy, habit reversal training, and other empirically supported interventions.

    • Expertise in providing and overseeing care for youth with a wide variety of presenting concerns, including but not limited to anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, behavior and impulse control disorders, body focused repetitive behavior

    • Extensive experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing for common youth concerns, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, trauma, learning disorders, autism, and other similar presentations

    • Strong knowledge of current clinical research and a commitment to staying updated on the latest empirical advancements.

    • A clear understanding and deep commitment to ethical standards of care

  • 5+ years of experience in leading and training teams and owning both clinical and operational/financial results of a clinic, program, service, or equivalent, ideally having served as an Executive Director, Clinic Director, Program Director, or equivalent

  • Previous experience with startup experiences and building teams and systems from the beginning strongly preferred

  • Experience in a high-growth, multi-site healthcare environment strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to the location of the clinic.

  • Strong analytical skills in making data-driven decisions and quickly understanding dashboards and other business intelligence tools

  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and be an effective thought partner for peers and centralized support leaders

  • Ability to build strong relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to craft a compelling story and value proposition
