Job Title: Tech Specialist Application Support
Location: Remote
Skills & Experience needed
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
3-5 years of experience with L2 production support
Knowledge of development and deployment best practices
Experience with infrastructure management and system administration
Experience with Python, Perl, SQL, JavaScript
Well versed with SDLC processes, Git / Bitbucket & test automation
Excellent organization, communication, and a diligent approach to problem solving are required
Proficient in Linux and Windows Operating system
Well- versed with Incident life cycle management, Problem life cycle management.
Experience with a ticketing system like ServiceNow or JIRA
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
Strong communication and documentation skills
Capable of working individually and/or with a large team comprised of multiple disciplines
Must have one or more of the following skills:
a. Angular, Java Microservices/Restful APIs
b. Databases: MS SQL, Oracle
c. Cloud DB: Snowflake
d. General Operations and Batch Monitoring: Autosys, Ctrl-M or equivalent
Nice to Have
Experience with a reporting/visualization tool like Power BI, Tableau etc.
Practical experience in using Web development, Microservices, Docker/Kubernetes & Linux
Basic knowledge of statistical theory, financial instruments, and markets.
