Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us .Position SummaryThis position is the Senior Manager, Authoring Platform within the Commercialization IT - Content Platforms & Delivery organization, responsible & accountable for managing content authoring platform for multi-channel and email content. This role is responsible for ensuring operational viability of the product and supports business processes and needs. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, IT partners and external vendors to ensure the platforms meet the needs of our customers and enable impactful experiences across channels. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the platform, management of enhancement backlog, defining solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to implement the changes in production.Key Responsibilities• Lead and partner with matrix teams to drive and govern change board processes across capabilities and projects• Collaborate with matrix teams (i.e., Business, IT, Security, External Vendors, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of programs, projects, and support activities to meet business needs• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business requirements, user feedback and market trends• Manage operational platform support and plan releases to continuously advance the platform that enhance business processes• Lead the design, development, testing and deployment of new features and enhancements for the platforms• Provide guidance and support to the platform users, including training, documentation and troubleshooting• Understanding of Veeva Vault PromoMats and MedComms development processes. Strong knowledge & hands on experience managing the end-to-end content lifecycle i.e., content creation, content storage, content review & approval, content assembly/authoring & content distribution and production.• Understand technologies and integrations and create artifacts to capture technology ecosystem design in support of business processes.• Work with the teams to analyze and define processes that further advance content management strategy for managing content at the lowest level, upwards to tactics and distributions. Clearly capture user stories and use cases with sufficient detail to reduce ambiguity between business requirements and systems.• Ability to capture KPIs and trace requirements to successful outcomes.• Collaborate with IT partners and business teams to understand and refine requirements and prepare use cases or process flow diagrams as a means of communicating requirements, challenges, gaps, and areas of efficiencies/inefficiencies.• Ability to understand, analyze, and provide input into solution options, keeping considerations, implications, and end-user impact in mind.• Provide thought leadership around process improvements and collaborate with other domain teams on creating cross-domain solutions.• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement such as increasing productivity or cost savings.• Create, organize, maintain and control process library & document artifacts.• Drive continuous improvement and innovation for the platforms• Design & develop cost effective solutions that meet functional, technical, security and performance requirements which also adhere to platform design standards & release management process• Partner with external platform partners/vendors to influence & drive their product roadmaps• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement such as increasing productivity or cost savings throughout the delivery process• Ensure technical solutions are compliant with BMS policies, procedures, and regulations• Identify, clarify, and resolve system development and/or maintenance activity issues and risks, escalating them as needed.Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience within a similar capacity, as a systems/product owner.• Experienced in Vault Java SDK, Vault to Vault Integration and Spark functionality. A solid knowledge of Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a bonus towards future need.• Able to refresh, migrate data and maintain Vault sandboxes.• 2 - 4 years of experience of Veeva CRM application, especially as it integrates with PromoMats and MedComms.• Experience in complex, content workflows and user access design.• Hands-on experience working leading requirements efforts, process discussions and producing documentation to clearly articulate information for cross-functional teams.• Understanding of Omni Channel Content development processes. Strong knowledge of end-to-end content lifecycle i.e., content creation, content storage, content review & approval, content assembly/authoring & content distribution.• Strong knowledge of foundational content capabilities - Digital Asset Management (DAM), Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) Review Processes, and Content Management Systems (CMS).• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships.• Ability to partner with business teams and clearly articulate technical flow & processes in business terms.• Ability to lead the analysis of complex business needs and translate them into technical documentation.• Capable of working cooperatively and collaboratively across matrix teams to achieve results.Desired Experience• Familiarity with Commercialization content management processes.• Familiarity with and awareness of the Pharmaceutical Industry.• Working knowledge of AL/ML technologies to drive automation.• Experience working with regulated and validated systems.• Experience with working with waterfall and agile delivery and projects, lean process, and/or BABO methodologies.If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn't perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
