Assistant Account Executive, Corporate & Consumer

Burson is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Account Executive candidate to join our team in Los Angeles, CA . This person will become an integral team member that works on high-profile clients. We are looking for candidates with excellent written and oral communication skills, client relationship-building skills, and a passion for media relations who can deliver results. This person must be detailed-oriented, resourceful, and able to multi-task and prioritize under deadlines. Here's what you’ll be doing: 

• Develop content and media materials (press releases, bylines, pitches, social media content, media lists) for key announcements and events
• Identify media opportunities and conduct ongoing media outreach
• Monitor for industry trends and media coverage and develop recap reports
• Assist in building executive visibility platforms
• Support consumer engagement activations for various events and initiatives
• Collaborate across several key client account teams and with outside client agency partners

What you’ll need to get here: 

• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of internship experience within a PR or agency environment.
• Must have strong writing skills.
• Experience with media monitoring, creating media lists, and media reporting.
• Strong media relations and writing skills are essential.
• Understanding of the social media landscape – influencer engagement, social trends, content development, etc.
• Imaginative and inventive, with an ability to think outside the box – proactively bring new, fresh, creative ideas to team
• Comfortable with the fast-moving pace of the retail environment.
• Self-starter capable of "managing up" to senior members across the agency.
• Strong project management skills.
