Business Analyst - Enablement

Guideline is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Customer Operations organization. This role is available in all locations with a preference for office access to either Portland, ME; Austin, TX; San Diego, CA; San Mateo, CA; or Atlanta, GA.

What You Will Be Working On

The Business Analyst supports the primary tasks associated with servicing our customers behind the scenes to provide a seamless and accurate experience for our clients. We're looking to make our operational workflows more efficient through data analysis and process improvements by applying data tools to create a scalable servicing model. You will apply your skills to strengthen our analytics capabilities and allow our teams to resolve client issues. You will also use data to improve the efficiency and quality of our customer experience leading projects across product, engineering, and operations to ensure we are delivering a customer experience that inspires confidence for our partners, small business owners and their employees. You will report to the Director of Program Management and Enablement in the Customer Operations organization.

  • Support department and company projects
  • Analyze data to identify strategic opportunities to improve the teams performance
  • Develop department dashboards, ad hoc and recurring reports
  • Lead programs for workflow efficiency for our customers and employees through process improvements, product improvements and business systems
  • Collaborate with product, operations, compliance and engineering to identify areas for improvement of the end-to-end customer experience

What We're Looking For


  • 4+ years experience in project management leading projects including customer success, customer support, operations, product development for a rapid-growth SaaS-based portfolio/platform business (Jira, Asana, Confluence)
  • 4+ years of professional experience in a similar role with proficiency in SQL, data manipulation and expertise with business intelligence tools (SQL, Looker, BigQuery)
  • A strategic planner with the ability to take a bird's eye view to ensure the puzzle pieces come together, diagnose roadblocks and guide decisions and execution
  • An accountable, driver who works backwards from outcome to achieve by prioritizing scope, quality, time and resources
  • A builder of motivated teams who drives aligned goals, strategies and measures of success to achieve outstanding customer results as #OneTeam
  • A collaborative and organized person who loves the idea of building meaningful retirement solutions to help small business owners and their employees.
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as financial services, FinTech, RegTech, or HR-tech.
