Business Development Manager (100% Remote)

Onward Search is growing & we are looking to hire an exceptional Business Development Manager to join our team, 100% remote.

A Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and promoting the services of Onward to potential clients. This position requires a strong understanding of the staffing industry and the ability to effectively manage a sales pipeline.

If there is a Client Services Manager (CSM) assigned to your MSP client account(s), your main area of focus on that account is ongoing sales and account expansion activities. The CSM, if applicable, will be responsible for any operational support functions within your account(s).

If there is not a CSM assigned to your client account(s), your responsibilities include:

  • Ongoing sales and account expansion activities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to increase revenue and grow your client base

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, lead generation and networking

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their staffing needs and provide solutions

  • Negotiate and close deals with clients to secure new business

  • Job entry into Bullhorn

  • Participate in a job intake call with the client

  • Evaluate, approve and process candidates for client submission via email or Candidately

  • Act as primary point of contact to client

  • Schedule candidate interviews with client

  • Debrief with client after candidate interview

  • Manage the offer process with the client

  • Enter locks into Bullhorn

  • Assist client with timecard issues

  • Confirm assignment end dates with client

  • Completes QCCs

  • Enter change requests on locks

  • Consistently deliver at, or higher than, stated KPI targets

  • Consistently demonstrate Onward core values, both internally and externally

How success is measured:

  • MSP scorecard and/or NPS scores

  • Job order volume

  • CV goal attainment

  • Client/portfolio expansion

  • New client acquisition

  • Cross-selling all services

  • FTE growth

  • Weekly GM

  • Locks

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 year's experience in business development and sales, preferably in the staffing industry with a robust network of direct hiring manager contacts to ensure your success quickly

  • Strong understanding of the staffing industry and recruitment process, specifically AI, UX, UI and creative contingent/contract business and/or projects

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (based on experience). This position is commission eligible. Comprehensive benefits and PTO package to include 401K also included.
