Our cutting edge SaaS technology is revolutionizing law, and we’re hiring Business Development Representatives to join us as we build our sales team and kick off a period of hypergrowth through an aggressive expansion in the US. We’re looking for BDRs a few years into their career who are excited about this rare opportunity to enter a huge, untapped market and make an immediate and significant impact. We’re at an exciting stage in our growth, having recently announced $9m Series B funding, and were named by the Bay Street Bull as one of the 50 most impactful companies in Canada.
Your role will involve working with leadership to develop territory strategies to “cold prospect” and generate qualified sales opportunities for Account Executives to negotiate and close.
You will have the opportunity to be coached by industry leaders who have scaled some of Canada’s most successful startups. You’ll receive significant hands-on training and in-depth sales experience as we invest in your success with intentional professional development and support that fosters your growth. What to Expect
We’ll work closely with you during your onboarding to support you as you quickly ramp up on our processes and our market. By the end of onboarding you will have:
Developed a deep understanding of how Blue J delivers and adds value to our customers.
Designed a learning plan with your Account Executive and Head of Sales that will help you ramp up on the sales process and learn best practices on prospecting, discovery and lead nurture.
Learned the product and completed a successful presentation, discovery and demonstration for our prospects.
Presented a prospecting plan on how you will meet your KPIs aligned with your Account Executive’s territory plan.
Overall, your role will involve:
Conducting in-depth discovery calls and completing the Discovery Checklist on each call.
Effectively qualifying opportunities.
Managing the sales pipeline, moving prospects through lead, discovery and up to demonstration stages.
Maintaining LinkedIn presence, promoting marketing material and connecting with industry members.
Meeting or exceeding monthly KPI goals created by your leadership team which will include call activity, meeting and demonstrations scheduled, and new pipeline created.
Attending trade shows and conventions as needed (virtually or in person, depending on COVID restrictions and safety).
