Position Summary

Performs various business analysis to facilitate development of long- term portfolio strategy, such as assessments of organic product development and business development opportunities using various techniques of both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Research market trends, market data, competitor’s business strategies and new technologies to support developing the solutions and recommendations for the current business strategies and operations. May work with the internal or external clients to identify analytical requirements. May provide business data interpretation. May help to produce ad hoc data and reports. May assist in developing or implementing systems to capture business operation information.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Market analysis: Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources.
  • Uses business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor current and potential changes in market.
  • Competitive analysis: Assesses competitive strategies by analyzing related products, new product development, markets, or trends.
  • Identifies markets for future product development and methods to enhance value of existing products by analyzing and identifying technology trends.
  • Compiles business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals.
  • Summarizes financial and economic data reports for review by executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Assists in the development of business analysis tools to support sound decision making for executives, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Thorough understanding of the company’s business processes and the industry at large.
  • Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.

Internal Networking/Key relationships:

This position requires cooperating with different company departments, such as R&D, Quality, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Commercial, Operations, Finance, and the other team members of the department.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science required.
  • At least 3 years in business development analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel as required up to 10% of time.
