Business Intelligence Engineer

Hybrid: 2 days in office/week in Sunnyvale, CA

The business intelligence engineer is responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of back-end development of the business's data warehouse, and data visualization / presentation.

The BI engineer is responsible for the development of ETL processes, data model and dashboard, and report delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Provides day-to-day support of the data warehouse and troubleshoots existing procedures and process

• Defines and promotes best practices and design principles for data warehousing techniques and architecture. And strives to improve data organization and accuracy

• Assists in the development of business intelligence, business data standards, and processes.

• Supports the business's daily operations inclusive of troubleshooting of the business's data intelligence warehouse environment and job monitoring

• Guides and influences the business in identifying any new data needs and deliver mechanisms for acquiring and reporting such information as well as addressing the actual needs

• Defines best practice guidelines for development within the business's data warehouse and ETL processes

• Works closely with other disciplines/departments and teams across the business in coming up with simple, functional, and elegant solutions that balance data needs across the business

• Work with different business owners and executives to gather requirements, build and deliver dashboards, reports and KPI visualizations

Experience:

• 10+ years of working experience SQL coding (MySQL, Postgres, Redshift)

• Expertise working with Domo (Domo certifications preferred)

• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling as well as other data warehousing techniques.

• 7+ years working experience with data visualization concepts and applications.

• 5+ years working experience with data warehouse development

• 5+ year business partnership and requirement gathering

• 5+ years providing insights through interpretation of data

• Experience with cloud data warehouse technology

• Experience with Data Integration, Data Quality, and Data Stewardship concepts and applications

Pay Range:

$146,000 USD - $175,000 USD

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, or applicable laws.
