Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Business Operations Specialist - Travel Accounting on the Gainesville campus. This position has two primary responsibilities: processing travel reimbursement requests and providing general clerical to UNG Gainesville Business Office. This position audits travel reimbursement requests to ensure all necessary receipts and other required documentation are provided in a timely manner, reimbursements are appropriate and allowable, and cash advances are reconciled on an ongoing basis. The position will answer questions and provide information to the campus community regarding travel guidelines based on University and State of Georgia travel policies. This position also collaborates with the Business Ops Specialist Manager - Travel for the preparation of the annual Transparency in Government Act (TIGA) report, and other applicable reports as assigned. This position is responsible for initial customer service interactions and resolution of inquiries including, but not limited to, answering phones/email, taking and processing student payments and departmental deposits at the UNG Gainesville Campus Business Office.
In addition to background checks for all cardholders, O.C.G.A. § 50-5-83 requires a credit check on all employees issued a purchasing card. Additionally, credit checks must be run at the time of PCard renewal.
