This position is eligible for up to 4 days per week of remote work following an in-person onboarding process.

Primary Purpose of Position
The Business Services Coordinator is a member of the Belk College of Business Finance & Personnel Team. This position supports financial, administrative, and personnel-related processes for the Belk College. In addition, this position provides support to the Assistant Director positions on the Finance and Personnel Team.

Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Four year degree in a related business function and two or more years of experience in accounts reconciliation, business processing, office management, or human resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Job Duties
  • Provides direct support to the Associate Director and Assistant Dean of Finance and Personnel.
  • Responsible for processing all financial transactions and personnel actions originating in the Belk College of Business, an organization with six academic departments, the Center for Real Estate, and more than 150 permanent faculty and staff positions.
Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Approving 49erMart carts.
  • Preparing EPAF’s.
  • Part-time faculty appointment process.
  • Scholarship processing.
  • Other responsibilities that support the function of the College’s Finance and Personnel Team.

Other Work Responsibilities
  • May include monitoring Trust Funds and quarterly endowment earnings reporting and other duties as assigned.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Experience working in higher education (minimum 2 years)
  • Experience working with Banner
  • Knowledge of UNC Charlotte policies and procedures related to financial and administrative processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with financial reporting, analysis and problem solving.
  • Experience with HR functions: EPAF’s; faculty appointment process
