Job Summary:
The IT Associate Systems Analyst supports the IT team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the company’s technology systems. This individual will assist in analyzing business requirements, reporting, configure software solutions, and ensure seamless operation of IT systems critical to food manufacturing processes. The Associate Systems Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to enhance system performance, support end-users, and ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols.
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:
· Executes existing .NET, SQL, and SSRS processes and solutions.
· Creates technical documentation of the organization’s systems architecture, development principals, used software and technology, SDLC process, etc. and each systems relationship to the appropriate business area(s).
· Assists in the analysis, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems used in food manufacturing, including ERP (enterprise resource planning), MES (manufacturing execution system), and quality control applications.
· Provides first-level troubleshooting and technical support for software and hardware issues, escalating complex problems to the Sr. Systems Analyst when necessary.
· Supports system upgrades, patches, and enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
· Documents system processes, workflows, mapping, configurations, SOPs (standard operating procedures), and user guides to improve knowledge sharing and training.
· Collaborates with IT and business teams to identify process improvements and recommend technology solutions.
· Ensures data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies and food industry regulations.
· Aids in testing new applications and system changes to ensure functionality and performance.
· Facilitates end-user training and support for IT systems to enhance efficiency and adoption.
· Monitors system performance and generates reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
· Participates in IT projects related to system integration, automation, and process optimization.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across organizational levels and create detailed technical and non-technical documentation.
· Thorough understanding of .NET framework, including VB.NET, C#, and JavaScript.
· Experience with SQL and SSRS, including report development and data analysis.
· Ability to collaborate across multiple IT and business functions to support system improvements.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
· Customer service mindset, ensuring prompt and effective issue resolution.
· Familiarity with project management methodologies and process optimization.
· Self-motivated and adaptable, with a proactive approach to learning new systems and technologies.
· Knowledge of IT best practices and corporate policies, ensuring compliance and security.
· Foundational understanding of business processes across various operational areas.
· Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with internal and external customers.
· Experience in SQL and SSRS concepts and functionality.
· Comprehensive knowledge of data architecting and modeling using SQL servers preferred.
· Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) and ERP systems such as SAP.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; will consider a combination of education and experience in lieu of a college degree.
·1-3 years of experience in IT support, systems analysis, or a related role is required.
· Hands-on experience with BI, Analytics, ETL management, reporting platform strategy.
· Strong background in SQL development, including relational database modeling, data warehousing, stored procedures, views, and datasets.
· Proficient with MS SQL Server technologies, including SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SSMS, Power Query, and Visual Studio.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide BI solutions, including reports and dashboards.
· Familiarity with cloud-base (Saas) and on-premises data and application management.
· Understanding of IT cybersecurity principles, best practices, and risk management.
· Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and experience working within a project management system.
· Ability to create functional and technical specification documents, including process flows and diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
· Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
Working Conditions:
· Work performed in an office environment with telephones, personal computers, and printers.
· The noise level of the environment is usually moderate.
· Sedentary position with occasional lifting of less than 25 pounds.
· May require standing for up to 1/3 of the day.
· Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
