Senior Director, Business Development

About the Role:

CaaStle is adding a Senior Director, Corporate Development to our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Corporate and Business Development, we seek a lawyer, banker, or investment professional by training with substantial experience managing complex investment and acquisition transactions.  The ideal candidate has a proven track record at a top tier law firm, investment bank, investment firm, or in-house corporate development team, managing due diligence, contract design, negotiation and execution. This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial candidate who wants to join a high-growth technology company in a corporate development and commercial role while leveraging their professional service and M&A experiences.  

CaaStle is a data and technology company focused on improving inventory monetization in apparel.  Our clients are the world’s leading fashion brands and retailers that leverage CaaStle’s proprietary technology and methodologies to accelerate revenue growth and improve profitability through superior inventory yield and monetization.  CaaStle, in partnership with its sister Investment and Operating Company P180, invests in strong brands and retailers to provide crucial balance sheet support and growth capital and to deploy CaaStle’s proprietary monetization technology.  CaaStle and P180 have recently announced investment and licensing deals with leading apparel companies like Elyse Walker and Joseph Altuzarra and have a quickly growing deal pipeline.

What You'll Do:

  • Engage with prospective brands and retailers to manage: 

    • M&A deal flow 

    • Due diligence

    • Contract architecture, management and technical execution

  • Work with key executive stakeholders at CaaStle and P180 on the development and management of the deal pipeline (e.g, Legal, Finance, Product and Engineering)

We'd Love for You to Have:

  • Five or more years of experience working in M&A with a focus on deep-dive due diligence 

  • Technical experience in contract and licensing design and construction, negotiation and execution 

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong attention to detail

  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience working in a startup environment is a plus, as well as experience in fashion, apparel, or retail

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver results

  • Passion for learning and development with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement

  • Experience at a law firm, investment bank, investment firm and/or in-house corporate development team required

  • JD strongly preferred

Pay Range:

$250,000 - $325,000. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
