Job Title: CAD-Designer Harness 2D (Components Engineer)

Location: Newcastle or Southam

Your Tasks/Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Change Management Team Leader you will be responsible for all aspects of component allocation and maintenance.

• Monitor LEONI proprietary part requirements, ensuring adherence to time and data quality requirements.
• Monitor customer part number alignment, and initiate activities to maintain customer systems.
• Develop best working practices with relevant departments by attending meetings.
• Produce documentation to support tools and/or processes as required.
• Populate and maintain component data using Capital toolsets.
• Support the creation and distribution of advanced BOM data for prototype build phases.
• Monitoring of LEONI ECR approvals within given timescales, ensuring that queries and/or rejections are explained in a clear manner so that they can be acted upon appropriately.
• Assess technical queries that are raised for component information and provide detail to confirm the correct component combinations.
• Support the identification of components during RFQ activities.
• Support the identification of cost saves using alternative parts

Your Profile:

• Ideally educated to HNC level
• Proven track record at meeting deadlines in a similar role
• Working knowledge of Capital Library is preferred
• Experience using FORS ERP system is preferred
• Strong time management experience
• Strong problem solving skills
• Pro-active, Self-motivated and flexible
• Experience with Microsoft suite of tools/Outlook
• MS Excel to advanced level
• Flexible to travel
