Local Connecticut manufacturer is looking to hire a Calibration Lab Manager to run and manage their ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accredited calibration lab and all related activities.

As the Calibration Lab Manager, you will be running and managing the complete operation of the lab including its staff, equipment, and work schedule. The Calibration Lab Manager is a key position within the organization, you will be required to coordinate work and demonstrate expertise on multiple fronts with a focus on the following areas:

Production

The calibration lab is more involved in regular production than a typical calibration lab. The lab is responsible for the final assembly, configuration, and calibration of all production transducers and indicators, and will also gauge select transducer models on site. These operations must be highly coordinated with production to ensure an adequate stock of product and to ensure synchronization of order timing.

Calibration

In addition to this role the calibration lab also operates as a full-service ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration lab; regularly receiving customer tools, transducers, and indicators for calibration, service, and repairs. The manger will also maintain the records, documentation, and procedures required of an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory, including staff training records, customer records, and serial number logs for production devices.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

· 3 Years’ Experience in the Management of a Calibration Laboratory

· Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation

· Familiarity with the basic operational principals in the calibration of torque devices

· Ability to work in cooperation with other staff

· High level of self-organization and attention to detail

· Ability to apply gained knowledge to new applications and situations

Preferred Experience:

· Experience with the calibration or operation of general Torque Tools and Measuring devices

· Experience with a small business manufacturing environment

Other Requirements

· Must live within commuting distance from the Greater Hartford area

· Must be legally able to work within the United States of America

· Must be able to pass a background check for access to secure customer facilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
