Manager, Marketing Operations

Overview:
The Manager, Marketing Operations plays a key role in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness if marketing campaigns. He/she is responsible for driving growth through the effective implementation of processes, technology, and metrics for the marketing function. He/she works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.

As the administrator of the marketing automation platform and owner of CRM integration for marketing and sales alignment they will drive process improvement and best practices around demand generation, lead management, and analytics to increase marketing effectiveness and return on investment (ROI). The Manager, Marketing Operations will manage a team of marketing specialists and collaborate with segment marketing leads to execute on marketing plans and develop budget allocation to support strategy and objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development and implementation of channel marketing strategies that maximize revenues and profitability. Administrate and optimize usage of marketing automation platform and related system integrations, including Web, CRM, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and other marketing tools.
  • Drive improvement of lead management process as the main point of contact for marketing, sales, and IT to ensure sales & marketing alignment and systems integrations resulting in higher marketing impact on growth.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Translate strategic growth objectives into tactical channel marketing plans.
  • Own marketing database and segmentation criteria. Utilize internal and external resources to ensure data cleanliness and completeness to maximize marketing outcomes and increase the voice of the customer / insights gathered from analytics.
  • Manage and track performance of programs, measuring growth, productivity, and return on investment. Lead marketing analytics and metrics to demonstrate marketing channels effectiveness and overall business impact. Recommend resource & budget allocation to optimize marketing results.
  • Support the digital customer experience and align with brand tone and voice. Train and mentor other marketing team members to foster best practices around customer centric marketing practices and digital experience.
  • Establish demand generation strategy in alignment with overall marketing and sales plans, with emphasis on increasing product demands and growing the sales pipeline.
  • Optimize the delivery of demand generation programs, considering changing market conditions, new consumer insights, and emerging opportunities.
  • Drive additional process improvement projects as needed.
  • Coach and counsel direct reports including goal setting, development and leadership.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 or more years' experience, including 2 or more years' supervisory experience or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, software, inbound marketing, marketing automation and marketing metrics is a must
  • Experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, influence and interact cross functionally to drive results.
  • Strategic thinker able to translate highly technical content into timely and relevant nurture campaign driving higher lead conversion.
  • Creative writer able to turn value propositions and messaging into high performing content, drive customer engagement & conversion.
  • Data minded individual able and turn analysis into insights to drive goals and decisions.
  • Self-starter, motivated and takes initiative; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff to resolve problems and leverage external partners to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to exercise sound judgment and attentive to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Resourceful, diplomatic and professional; deliver outstanding customer service while managing relationships; a can-do attitude and work style that supports teamwork (and lead teams when necessary), collaboration and positive relationships.
  • Adaptable; be able to shift priorities and focus as departmental and/or business demands change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent listening skills and presentation skills to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
  • Follow all company safety practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) or more years of experience as marketing automation administrator (Eloqua, Marketo or Hubspot preferred).
  • Proven writing skills for content marketing campaigns.
