Job Description:

Performs variety of procedural and administrative tasks to maintain and ensure protection of company personnel, property, and information. Tasks may support one or more of the following areas: general security, access control, CCTV, record, and report maintenance. Conduct periodic patrols of the property to ensure people and assets are protected and secure.

Essential Functions:

• Protect employees, students, and property on campus
• Enforce rules and deter criminal activity
• Control visitor and guest access
• Conduct security checks over a specified area
• Monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras
• Respond to suspicious persons or property reports
• Respond to emergency calls
• Respond to security and fire alarms when activated
• Respond to calls for medical assistance
• Assist Student Affairs department with student incidents after hours as needed.
• Assist other departments as needed
• Interact and assist local law officer when required
• Write observation and incident reports as applicable
• Basic computer skills
• Willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work overnight and weekends

Qualifications:

• Able to obtain FL Security Officer Class D License
• High School diploma with 0-2 years of work experience
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Law enforcement or security experience preferred
• Prior customer service experience preferred
• First Aid/CPR/AED/BPP training and certification preferred
• Multi-lingual preferred
