Key Account Manager
e-STORAGE is a subsidiary of Canadian Solar and a leading company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and integration of battery energy storage systems for utility-scale applications. The Company offers its own proprietary LFP battery solution, comprehensive EPC services, and innovative solutions aimed at improving grid operations, integrating clean energy, and contributing to a sustainable future. e-STORAGE has successfully implemented over multiple GWh DC of battery energy storage solutions in various locations, including North and South America, the United Kingdom, Australia, and East Asia. Position:
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle from opportunity origination to contract execution, while also managing relationships with strategic battery storage clients for our expanding business in EMEA.
Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with key accounts, identify opportunities, provide quotes, follow up, track progress, and close sales.
- Support in negotiating complex contracts, understanding all influencing factors in the client's decision-making process, and coordinating internal resources (technical, legal, planning, operations, logistics, and financial) to execute deals.
- Regularly interact with both new and existing clients and prospects to understand their technical and commercial requirements.
- Identify, develop, and manage project opportunities in the utility-scale energy storage segment, managing product and solution offers.
- Manage long sales cycles, provide account forecasts, and keep the company’s CRM and other information tools up to date.
- Analyze the market for potential new clients and accounts for Canadian Solar and develop the respective opportunity pipeline. Reach out to potential new clients to establish relationships.
- Collaborate with the Canadian Solar leadership team to develop strategies positioning Canadian Solar as a key product and solution provider in the utility-scale energy storage segment, and incorporate these strategies into daily activities.
- Schedule, manage, and participate in customer events, trainings, client panels, and other activities to strengthen relationships between clients and Canadian Solar.
- Conduct account reviews and manage the payment balance of all respective key accounts.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in key account management.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate complex contractual negotiations involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in value selling and designing account development strategies/plans.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and sign new clients, accounts, and prospects.
- Ability to navigate decision-making processes in complex deals.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in management, administration, engineering, supply chain, or related fields.
- Self-motivated, independent, and proactive work style.
- Strong work ethic, with a competitive and driven mindset.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to honesty and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time; flexible scheduling will be required.

- Develop a deep understanding of existing customers and prospects' businesses.
- Position and promote value-selling of our products.
- Close contracts and secure purchase orders.
- Research and locate potential prospects.
- Identify prospects' needs, unknown issues, and reasons to change vendors.
- Leverage the company’s products and unique capabilities.
- Identify decision-makers and understand both business and personal factors that influence decisions.
- Initiate creative solutions to customer needs.
- Collect and share competitive information from the field to assist in marketing strategies.
