Security Risk Management Specialist

Canonical is looking for a Security Risk Management Specialist to drive innovation in security risk assessments and modelling. The ideal candidate will lead the strategy for identifying and reducing security risks, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to the wider open-source ecosystem.

Skills

Deep understanding of security assessments and risk management
Expertise in threat modelling and risk management frameworks
Experience in Secure Development Lifecycle and Security by Design methodology
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

Define security risk management standards and playbooks
Analyse and improve security risk practices
Evaluate, select, and implement new security requirements, tools, and practices
Develop learning and development materials for security risk
Present information to influence change and participate in risk management
Lead quantified risk assessments and interpret risk analyses
Monitor and improve risk management processes
Perform security assessments and help mitigate risks
Build evaluation methods to measure security efficiency

Education

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or relevant experience
