Canonical is looking for a System Software Engineer to join the Ubuntu Foundations team. This role focuses on modern C and C++ programming languages, GCC and LLVM runtimes, enhancing developer experience on Ubuntu.

Skills

Proficient in C/C++
Experience with Linux distributions
Knowledge of GCC and LLVM
Software architecture skills
Software packaging for Debian and Ubuntu

Responsibilities

Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
Select, integrate and package best-of-breed tooling with Ubuntu
Write high-quality code for new features
Debug issues and produce high-quality code
Review code produced by other engineers
Discuss ideas and collaborate on solutions

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
