The Opportunity (Internship - Open to Remote or Hybrid)

As we navigate the exciting world of mergers and acquisitions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Carbon6 by identifying, evaluating, and nurturing potential investment opportunities. Your Impact
  • Research and Deal Sourcing: Conduct thorough research to identify potential acquisition targets within the tools and software industry. Map the ecosystem to understand key players, trends, and opportunities.
  • Prospecting and Outreach: Execute targeted prospecting activities to connect with CEOs and decision-makers of identified companies. Craft compelling outreach messages to initiate conversations and establish rapport.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with business leaders through effective communication and engagement. Navigate conversations to convey the value proposition of Carbon6 as an attractive acquirer.
  • Financial Evaluation: Analyze financial performance metrics and conduct due diligence on target companies. Assess their fit within the Carbon6 ecosystem and potential for synergies.
  • Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust M&A pipeline to support Carbon6's future growth objectives. Track progress, prioritize opportunities, and drive initiatives forward.
  • Documentation and Presentation: Build comprehensive investment memoranda that include valuation analyses, investment rationale, and risk assessment. Present findings and recommendations to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.


Your Qualifications
  • Educational and/or Relevant Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Pursuing or intending to pursue professional certifications such as CPA or CFA would be beneficial but not required
  • Market Mapping: Strong research skills with the ability to map out complex ecosystems and identify strategic opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring everyone is kept informed and engaged.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate value propositions and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Financial Analysis: Solid understanding of financial statements and performance metrics, with experience in conducting thorough financial evaluations. Proficient in building financial models and capable of translating raw data into thoughtful analysis and concise presentations.
  • Investment Evaluation: Familiarity with investment principles and methodologies, including risk assessment and valuation techniques.
