Join us and reach your higher purpose at Cargill.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Category Lead - IT Enterprise Software & Services will develop procurement strategies for IT services and software to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the corporation while mitigating risk. We seek a professional who will maximize profitability by identifying strategic category opportunities, developing an overall category management framework and leading execution by the buyers located around the world.Key Accountabilities• Develop and maintain category expertise, cultivate positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including industry partners, suppliers and business stakeholders.• Lead and implement category management strategies for IT services and software in alignment with global and regional dynamic business needs.• Lead major negotiations and workshops with our suppliers.• Lead the communication of category management vision and objectives internally and externally by engaging senior stakeholders for alignment.• Coach our buying teams in delivering coherent and successful action plan.• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.• Other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience• Minimum of four years of related work experiencePreferred Qualifications• Six years experience in procurement or IT• Confirmed financial, mathematical, modeling and analytical skills• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills• Experience in leading regional projects• Experience in implementing supplier management programs with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiativesShort DescriptionPreferred Locations: Wayzata, MN and Atlanta, GAShort DescriptionMinnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
