Position Summary:Coordinates scheduling of CBMC Invasive labs, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiodiagnostics procedures with the patients, providers, anesthesia services, and ancillary services. Support administrative needs of CV/Pulm/IR director, managers, and departments.Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSNone RequiredEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSOne (1) year healthcare preferredSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of office equipment including but not limited to: computer, printer, copier, Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.Basic reporting skills.Essential Functions:• Accurate utilization of computerized scheduling system to provide customer with timely, courteous, and proficient scheduling of procedures for Cardiovascular services and Interventional Radiology.• Coordinate scheduling of procedures with the patients, providers, anesthesia services, and ancillary services; including pertinent vendor support.• Proactively manage procedure requests/orders within EPIC workques and fax management system to ensure prompt scheduling of procedures.• Organize and complete patient orders and reading/deciphering information from physician order• Provide exceptional communication and follow up to patients and ordering providers.• Cover or obtain coverage for scheduling phone during hours of operation.• Prepare necessary paperwork for upcoming procedures and ensure that all necessary documentation, equipment, anesthesia, and vendor support has been scheduled and confirmed.• Medical record management, including: preparation of patient charts, uploading of imaging, enter and compile data, update patient information, update insurance and guarantor information.• Proactively identify potential problems with procedures that are missing information and discrepancies in procedure needs/requirements• Communicate pertinent information regarding procedures to appropriate service line coordinators or other staff members.• Provides support for CV/Pulm/IR departmental operations and functions.• Schedules administrative time and meetings for the CV/Pulm/IR leadership team.• Manages payroll accounts for CV/Pulm/IR departments under the supervision of director and managers.• Competently performs other secretarial duties as requested.• Works autonomously and efficiently with minimal direction.• Scheduling of procedures.• Operational Support.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
