The Problems You'll Solve

At Carta, our employees set out on a mission to unlock the power of equity ownership for more people in more places. We believe that the problems we solve today unlock the opportunities of tomorrow. As a Growth Associate on our Private Equity and Alternative Assets Marketing team, you’ll work to: 

  • Research, develop, and execute end-to-end campaigns to drive net-new companies and firms to our private equity and alternative assets products
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and all parts of Marketing to iterate on messaging and identify our target audience
  • Manage all things demand generation for PE and LLC Carta accounts; from events to emails to ads and lots of channels in between
  • Identify successful tests and work cross functionally with sales, product, operations, and finance to share learnings and roll out growth initiatives across the organization
  • Help identify, drive, and execute on strategic growth initiatives and tests as we experiment and learn which levers are key growth opportunities for Carta

The Team You'll Work With

You’ll be joining our Private Equity & Alternative Assets Marketing Team.

This team is the tip of the spear for Carta’s fastest growing business unit. We focus on experimenting, measuring, and investing into Carta’s growth through a variety of demand generation and brand channels. We often lead cross-functional projects involving partners across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. Our work is both very tactical and strategic, driven first and foremost by strong conviction in the remarkable value our products and services provide.

About You

We’re looking for someone with the curiosity and humility to ask honest questions, the social and emotional intelligence to work well with diverse teams and personalities, and the grit to solve tough go-to-market problems. We expect a high degree of integrity, competence, and demonstrated excellence. Some specifics include:

  • Ability to break down problems into component parts, synthesize key points, and communicate them clearly, often to executives
  • Background in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, accounting, or a demonstrated capacity to learn our business very quickly
  • 3+ years of experience recommended 
  • Demonstrated confidence in taking the lead on solving large business problems, but with an abiding sense of humility to seek cross-functional advice and feedback
  • Comfortable working solo or with teams, depending on what the situation requires
  • High degree of ethical standards and desire to do things right
  • A strong sense of operating discipline, including timely communication, setting and following-up on expectations, and providing candid feedback
  • Intensive attention to detail with an ability to zoom out, extract insights, and communicate the “so what” to decision-makers across the company
  • A will to win

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our expected cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: 

  • $107,000 - $126,000 in San Francisco, CA
  • $107,000 - $126,000 in New York, NY
  • $96,000 - $113,000 in Seattle, WA

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
