Summary:
As a Case Design Specialist, you will provide illustrations (proposals) to both agents and policy owners. You will be challenged to creatively design cases to win the business and keep it on the books all while learning about National Life’s Distribution, product portfolio, insurance sales and operations, and building financial business acumen. Our goal is to be both effective and efficient so that we can help many agents and policy owners as possible. This role is a hybrid position requiring attendance in the office on core days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Nitty Gritty: You wil be working in workflows to produce illustrations within an SLA (service level agreement) and responding to email/phone correspondence for the cases you are working on. We strive to provide top tier customer service and make doing business with us easy. This means you’ll need to be a critical thinker, problem solver and have excellent communication skills.

Case Design Required Competencies
Problem Solving & Analysis: you will be challenged to solve for case design options. You may have to research historical policy documents to better understand how the policy was set up at issue and the activity (payment history, loans, etc.) on an existing policy to make appropriate decisions about the current case design.
Nimble Learner/Manage Ambiguity: Much of this role is on the job learning and applying previous learning to new situations. You will come across cases, situations, etc. that you have not encountered previously. The ability to navigate through them using the resources you have is crucial to success.
Positive Outlook: having a positive outlook about the work we do, our customers and teammates. Being persistent in pursuing goals despite obstacles and setbacks.
Situational Adaptability: Understanding that not all work is equal. Exceptions can and are made for Field Leaders, policies, agents, etc. The ability to recognize and navigate the unique situations while still meeting business goals is important for success in this role.

General Requirements:
1-3 years financial services experience
College degree preferred
Life insurance industry experience a plus
Must be able to successfully pass a background check that may include fingerprinting
