Cashier (Part-time) (Hours are Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm)

About the job
The Corporate Services team is looking for a part-time Cashier to help in café locations while providing excellent customer service to internal and external café patrons.

As a part-time Cashier, you will:
  • Operate cashier touch screen terminal to key customer charges.
  • Record postage stamp sales daily.
  • Enter data entry of café charges from all self-service locations.
  • Greet and assist customers.
  • maintain inventory of candies sold.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Two years of experience as a cashier or related position. Some experience balancing a cash drawer preferred. Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
  • Course work related to Administrative Office Technology, Secretarial Science, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • General skills using computer hardware, with a user’s knowledge of various software packages.
  • Good data entry and number recognition skills.
  • Ability to read and write with correct grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment.
  • Ability to calculate basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to process credit card transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with using a credit card machine such as Clover.
