The Role:

Backstage is seeking a User Acquisition Manager to lead efforts across paid digital channels, with an emphasis on paid social. Working closely with Marketing, Content, Design, Product and Engineering teams, you will be a vital driver of subscriber growth for Backstage. The success of your efforts will be measured by lead growth and subscriptions generated through digital channels. You will be tasked with budget allocation and campaign planning, setup and daily optimizations, The role will require you to use analytics to measure and optimize the execution of customer growth.

In this mid-level position, you will leverage a deep understanding of paid acquisition channels to allocate budgets to drive the best possible KPI’s You must be able to envision the unique and complex intersection of budgets, ad networks and best practices across the channels to drive cost-efficient subscriber growth. As we are a lean team in a scaling organization, you must covet the opportunity to be a hands’ on contributor in this role

The User Acquisition Manager will report to Backstage’s Growth Marketing Director

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage end-to-end paid digital marketing channels, with an emphasis on paid social (Facebook,TikTok) as well as mobile search advertising (Google and Apple Search) : strategy, planning, execution, budgeting, analysis and optimization.
  • Build and maintain performance reporting and analysis across all owned acquisition channels - aggregate and analyze data from a variety of sources, highlighting successes, failures trends and opportunities
  • Prepare and present insights and recommendations from experimental data
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices for current acquisition channels and proactively recommend new tactics based on industry trends
  • Design, implement and analyze A/B split tests across all channels (creative, offer, landing pages)
  • Work with the design and content teams to develop new content, making sure all performance marketing creative assets are built in a data-driven approach
  • Manage relationship with platform reps, third party agencies, ad networks, other service providers and vendors
  • Partner with product, content, sales development and customer success teams to understand user needs and ensure consistent, effective, targeted communication with customers
  • Leverage analytics tools (we use Amplitude, Looker, Google Analytics, and others) to find winners and optimize performance.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • 6+ years of prior experience managing direct response paid media with a specialized focus in paid social
  • Comprehensive in-platform knowledge of paid social buying, audience creation, campaign management and in-dash optimization techniques
  • Hands-on keyboard executional experience in Facebook and TikTok is a must
  • Experience with Tracking & Attribution
  • Familiarity with marketing funnels
  • Experience analyzing large volumes of data
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and an efficient time manager, with a proven track record of project managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Highly organized, thinks and works fast, can execute complex tasks with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated history as a proactive problem solver
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Amplitude, Looker, or analogous platforms
  • Experience in B2C tech company or at a subscription-based business is a major plus
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
The compensation range for this position is:
$90,000$110,000 USD
