JDE World Analyst

CBTS is currently seeking a JDE World Analyst for a position that can work remotely.Position Summary:The JDE World/AS400/RPG/CL Analyst is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of JDE World software applications running on IBM AS400 systems. The role requires in-depth knowledge of RPG (Report Program Generator) and CL (Control Language) programming languages. The analyst will work closely with business users, IT staff, and management to identify, design, and implement solutions that meet the organization's needs.Key Responsibilities:Application Development:• Design, develop, and maintain custom applications within the JDE World environment.• Write, debug, and optimize RPG, RPGLE, and CL code for existing and new applications.• Implement software enhancements, patches, and upgrades in line with business requirements.System Support:• Provide day-to-day support for JDE World applications, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them in a timely manner.• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to ensure optimal operation.• Collaborate with the IT team to maintain and support the IBM AS400 system environment.Business Analysis:• Work closely with business users to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.• Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and feasibility studies for new projects and enhancements.• Create and maintain documentation related to systems, processes, and procedures.Project Management:• Lead and participate in various IT projects related to JDE World and AS400 systems, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within budget.• Coordinate with vendors and third-party consultants to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.Training & Support:• Train and mentor junior staff and end-users on JDE World applications and AS400 systems.• Develop and maintain user manuals and training materials.Qualifications:• 5+ years of experience working with JDE World on AS400 systems.• Extensive experience with RPG, RPGLE, CL, and SQL.• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) World functional modules such as Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution.• Knowledge of AS400 system administration and security is a plus.Certifications:• JDE World certification or relevant IBM certifications are a plus.Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a protected veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.“Notice of Collection for California Employees, Applicants, and Contractorshttps://www.cbts.com/privacy-policy/california-privacy-policy/”
