QA Engineer III

Celero Commerce is looking for a QA Engineer III to join our team developing and supporting net-new cloud-native TypeScript applications to serve our teams and business partners. Celero’s mission is delivering bundled, simple-to-consume payments solutions to small to mid-sized businesses to help them compete and win.

The QA Engineer III will be responsible for working with a cross-functional team to design, implement, and execute tests to ensure the quality and functionality of the platform. The ideal candidate has strong communication/collaboration and leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Product, Engineering, and DevSecOps teams to understand the vision, business requirements, use cases, and design of the software and infrastructure
• Perform manual QA testing for standard releases, hotfixes, and other deployments as needed
• Regularly perform ad hoc and exploratory testing in addition to the standard release cycles
• Perform testing across different web browsers, including mobile variants and devices
• Identify defects and create bug tickets with detailed descriptions and reproduction steps, including screenshots, videos, and other supporting documentation where applicable
• Document and execute detailed test plans, including thorough regression plans
• Aid in monitoring and support of production systems
• Have the technical aptitude and understanding of the tech stack to set up and run the platform in your local environment
• Attend and consistently participate in refinement, daily standups, and other team meetings, planning and providing valuable contributions from a quality assurance perspective
   

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years overall software QA experience, preferably with experience being a leader on a QA team
• Demonstrated aptitude at creating, documenting, and executing detailed tests and test plans
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working with bug tracking tools, Azure DevOps a plus
• Passion for delivering high-quality software for users
• Experience with automated testing and frameworks, including beyond unit tests (end-to-end regression, integration, etc.)
• Understanding of Security Best Practices, familiarity with security testing a plus
• Experience working with monitoring, alerting, and logging platforms to support production systems
• Experience working with cloud platforms, Azure a plus
• Experience working with Git source control
• Experience working with software code editors, Visual Studio Code a plus
• Experience working with DevOps teams, processes, and tools to test and support software
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize, work with multiple teams, and deliver efficiently
   

Preferred Experience:

• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages
• Experience with performance and load testing
• Experience in merchant services, financial services, or fintech environment

Employment type: Full-time; Exempt

Salary: $95,000
