Cellarity is seeking a technically and academically strong, highly motivated Data Engineer Co-Op to join their team. The company is focused on revolutionizing the way medicines are created to bring new hope to patients.

Skills

Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or another relevant language
Expertise with SQL and database management systems
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data platforms (specifically AWS)
Familiarity with serverless architectures, specifically AWS Lambda
Prior Co-Op or work experience in data engineering

Responsibilities

Building scalable data pipelines in collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams
Designing and developing code in Python, SQL on AWS environment
Contributing to designing novel methods for data cataloguing and governance
Optimizing data processing and querying performance
Working with computational biologists, MLOps, and AWS teams to ensure seamless dataflow
Developing and supporting data pipelines connecting web applications
Creating architectural diagrams and documentation on data models and infrastructure
