Senior Cloud Database Administrator - PostgreSQL

Celonis, the global leader in Process Mining technology, is looking for a Senior Cloud Database Administrator with PostgreSQL expertise to join their Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a performant and stable database foundation for Celonis developers and customers.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQL statement performance tuning
Experience operating PostgreSQL at scale
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

Enhance and perform monitoring for the fleet to ensure smooth operation
Work closely with Azure support
Perform debugging on PostgreSQL system issues (e.g., vacuum performance)
Document processes related to database management, configuration, and maintenance
Keep the fleet up to date with the latest PostgreSQL versions
Collaborate with application developers to shape schema and SQL queries

Education

Bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or similar
