PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

This role will be supporting the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ) at USFF Norfolk, Virginia at a Government facility/site. As a member of their USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, you will significantly contribute to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security.  The team is involved in information technology (IT) support tasks including but are not limited to Program Management support, Network Engineering support, Maritime Operations Center/Tactical Systems support, Video Teleconferencing and Audio/Visual support, Portal Management and Application Development support, Staff IT Business Process/IT Services support, Satellite Communications Planning support, Information Assurance (IA)/Certification and Accreditation support, Database Administration support, Communications Security/EKMS support, and general IT support, as well as maintenance, updating and enhancement of developed application/software.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·        The contractor will design, develop, manage, and maintain the Root Cause Analysis Tool (RCAT) and Singular Reporting and Critique Program (SRCP) using JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL, ASP.NET, and Python.

·        Build prototype models using, but not limited to, mock-up sites, flowcharts, and data models. These prototypes will allow users to provide feedback on the business-logic and usability of proposed designs.

·        Implement information assurance security controls such as IAVA, STIG, support Zero Trust Requirements, and 508 accessibility compliance.

·        Support cloud environment administration as required.

·        Assist in configuration and utilization of code repositories, pipelines, Agile Board work tracking, security, and account management.

·        Integrate artificial intelligence cloud services into solutions as applicable to improve usability and decision-making outcome.

·        Write application user guides and provide technical support to end users of the applications.

·        Assist in the development and maintenance of other custom applications sponsored by N02R Fleet Improvement Office.

·        Gather problem statements from customers and translate problem statements into usable features.

·        Perform thorough code testing and error validation prior to deploying software to users.

·        Provide technical advice and recommendations on current and trending technologies for their potential use by and benefit to the government.

·        Must be able to work on-site monthly, 15% of the time.


Job Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or demonstrated competency in required tasks with 4 years of experience.

·        Minimum of 2 years of experience, proficiency and in-depth knowledge in application development using web technologies

·        Must have an active secret clearance.

·        Microsoft Certified Developer Associate Certifications. The Microsoft certification must be one of the current published paths by Microsoft or follow-on certification with emphasis on the platform or system being supported. Candidates who do not currently possess a Microsoft certification but meet all other minimum requirements may be considered for this position. If selected, the candidate must obtain the required certifications within 30 days.

·        Proficient in utilizing cloud services and deploying web applications using them.

·        Proficient and experienced in data modeling and user-interface/experience design and implementation.

·        Excellent and proficient communication and writing skills.

·        Demonstrated ability to operate a self-motivated member of a development team.

·        Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, prioritizing efforts and meeting deadlines.
