PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
In collaboration with Prime and IBM, the contractor will deliver comprehensive end-to-end data center managed services for NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS) NCEP Central Operations (NCO). This includes overseeing compute, storage, and networking infrastructure for the Integrated Dissemination Program (IDP) and Compute Farms (CFs). By partnering with private sector experts, the Government can focus on its core missions while benefiting from advanced, professionally managed data center solutions.
Statement of Work:
Provide Microsoft Windows and Linux RHEL Support to Enterprise Infrastructure operations at NCEP.
Job Responsibilities:
· Maintaining a stable LAN/WAN environment
· Provide tech expertise in creating a Gold Image for Windows and Linux Systems
· Manage and mitigate and provide solution to effectively manage Vulnerabilities
· Design and manage a system that does Compliance checks right from Baseline to operations and in continuous mode
Job Requirements:
· Candidate must be local to College Park, MD / No remote work allowed.
· 8 – 12 years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtual hardware/software/storage within an Enterprise data center
· Must have Azure Certification
o Microsoft Azure Certified
· Must have Red Hat Certified System Administrator qualification
· Should have complete and expert level knowledge of Ansible and Satellite – (NO EXECPTIONS and will be thoroughly interviewed) Should have expert level knowledge on Microsoft and RHEL
· PKI infrastructure Management
· VMWare ESXi
Desired Qualifications:
Working knowledge of FISMA requirements for systems security
